Ring in the new year with us

It’s hard to believe that it’s 2020—not just a new year but a new decade is upon us, with all its joys and challenges, many of which we probably can’t even imagine. Just cast your mind back to how much our lives, the country, and indeed the world have all changed since the dawn of the year 2000, and I think you’ll agree with me.
One thing that will not change, however, is our commitment to continue to bring you the best reading on Nepal’s culture, travel, heritage, arts and crafts. We want to continue to grow and experience new things, talk to and learn from interesting people, and share the results with you.
As part of this, will publishing a year-long series focused on Nepal’s wildlife and nature; launching it in this issue is an insightful article by WWF’s Country Representative in Nepal, Dr. Ghana Shyam Gurung, that I believe you will enjoy as much as I did. With the environment being such an important part of the conversation today, we want to highlight Nepal’s wonderful diversity and nature in the way we know best, by telling its stories.
Of course, we can’t forget Visit Nepal Year 2020, which we’ve been talking about in our last few issues and will continue to do as the year progresses, so stay tuned for more on that, too.
And as always, if you’ve got a story you’d like to tell, or observations or feedback about any of our articles, feel free to get in touch with me at evangeline.ecsmedia@gmail.com – hearing from our readers is always a highlight for us.
Warm wishes for a very happy new year 2020 from all of us here at ECS Nepal!
Enjoy,
