It is the giver of the grains, the soothing on a hot and humid day, a blessing: the rain. In our attempt to appreciate the monsoon, we bring with this issue, a collection of monsoon-related anecdotes from four writers. It started with a gramophone – the idea behind one of our features in this issue, ‘From the physical to the digital’ which takes you through the evolution of the Nepali music scene.  We hope these stories keep you good company during the rains.
An article on the Bagmati River Festival talks about the tireless efforts of a group of campaigners to clean Bagmati. Read on to know how you can also be involved.

Once again, we tell stories of the rain through photographs in our photo-story section, a visual treat put together by Pix – The Light Sketch, our in-house photography team.

This issue is a celebration of the monsoon. We hope the rains bring you prosperity and happiness. Happy reading.
