A
s we go about our everyday lives, numerous images bombard our senses continually. Most of these images feel routine: the temple we pass every day on our way to work, children gathered at the bus station, people praying at temples and street vendors making their rounds about town. One image or a collage of several and the lifestyle that they unknowingly advertise to anyone who cares to stop and observe can represent effectively what we at ECS Nepal call The Nepali Way.The Nepali Way is what we see, how it makes us feel and how we perceive it. Therefore, what is the everyday to some might seem unique to others. These images although very “out there” can also feel very personal; an idea or an emotion we immediately recall when speaking of The Nepali Way.
ECS Nepal’s monthly photo contest is an attempt to gather and document these perceptions of The Nepali Way, through photographs.
